The Indianapolis Motor Speedway recently announced that general admission tickets will be sold for the 2010 Brickyard 400.  This is a departure from prior years when only fans with reserved seating tickets or suite passes were granted admission to the speedway on race day.

The new policy also has a family friendly feature which allows children under the age of 12 to enter free when accompanied by an adult with a general admission ticket.  The tickets are $40.00 each.  They can be purchase from the IMS ticket office at 4790 W. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN. 46222.  You can also reach them by telephone at 1-800-822-4639.

This announcement is certain to attract a large crowd in turn 3 of the infield,  just as the Indy 500 does each year.    Turn 3 is well known for its party-like atmosphere, which many fans describe as a carryover from the old Snake Pit days in turn 1.   Fans who need to watch their budgets will surely be pleased with this new policy.
